Qing Ming

Sunday noon, 4/8/12
It's not my preference to photograph flowers or in cemetaries but Qing Ming is a different day. It's the day to pay and share respect to one's ancestors. While walking through I noticed that just about every headstone had flowers or incense. That's a lot of respect.

While doing our prayers and bows at one relative's site, a woman nearby noticed that our dialect was the same as hers and greeted us. On finding that we had four generations of our family visiting our ancestors, she remarked that it was a good for us to be there. She had the typical face of a person from my village area and she was still guided by the traditions from there. I still feel a bit of that.
