Plan B

Monday around 5pm. 4/29/12

What was Plan A? Plan A was what I saw on my morning bike ride Saturday morning up to the Botanic Gardens, that being an oval construction about ten feet in in length made of twigs and small branches, similar to a large wreath. It had an A framed opening or gate or entrance about two feet high

When I returned today with a camera it was gone, dismantled. However the twigs and branches were placed in two separate piles adjacent to their former site. This horizontal limb may have been witness to the event I saw but failed to photograph.

Macaron - Six

A bag of macarons from Vanille Patisserie, So very good. There were six, now there are none.

Technical details: Shot 4/14/13 with a 35mm f/1.4 on a Canon 6D

I am a macaron novice. Before last August 2012 I never knew that such a delicacy existed until a trip to Marche du Vieux-Port de Quebec revealed a counter of pastel objects that looked nothing like a macaroon. Where was the coconut? I won't try to describe how good it was but I'll just say that I never forgot how good it was.

Being the kind of person that takes the long, scenic route to get to wherever I'm going, I've been wanting to return to the Market in the Old Port. Directly across from the pattiserie is a cheese shop, while next to it is a beverage shop stocked with Unibroue.  This is what my dreams are made of, a farmer's market over a thousand miles away.

In an attempt to make the macaron more of a reality, I searched "chicago macaron" and Vanille Patisserie comes up.
